DCPL Technology
Privacy and data handling
DCPL Technology Private Limited (“DCPL Technology”, “we”, “us”) operates dcpltechnology.com and builds custom software, web and mobile applications, Shopify solutions and AI automation for clients in India and abroad. This policy explains what personal information this website collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it and what rights you have over it.
It applies to this website and to enquiries and job applications submitted through it. It does not cover software we build and operate for clients under a separate agreement — in those engagements the client is the data controller and their own privacy notice applies.
Who we are
DCPL Technology Private Limited is a company incorporated in India (CIN U62099GJ2023PTC138756), with its office at 1011, Silver Trade Center, Nr. VIP Circle, Utran, Mota Varachha, Surat — 394105, Gujarat, India. For anything in this policy, write to hello@dcpltechnology.com or call +91 99131 40437.
Information we collect
Information you give us
We only collect what you type into a form on this site.
- Project enquiries (contact form): your name, email address, phone number, company name, the service you are interested in, an indicative budget range, and the message you write.
- Job applications (careers form): your name, email address, phone number, a link to your résumé or portfolio, and any message you add.
- Direct correspondence: if you email or call us instead, we hold whatever you choose to send.
None of these fields ask for sensitive personal data. Please do not include payment card details, government identifiers, health information or client confidential material in a form or an unsolicited email.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting and infrastructure providers record standard technical logs when a page is served — IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time. These logs exist to keep the site available and secure, and are not used to build a profile of you.
This website does not run advertising networks, cross-site trackers or behavioural analytics, and it does not set marketing cookies. Pages that embed third-party content — the Google Maps panel on our contact page, and video players on some product and Life at DCPL pages — are loaded from those providers, who may set their own cookies and see your IP address once the embed loads. Their own privacy policies govern that.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry, scope your requirement and prepare a proposal.
- To assess a job application and contact you about the role and our hiring process.
- To provide, support and improve services we have agreed to deliver to you.
- To keep records of our business communications, and to meet tax, accounting and other legal obligations.
- To keep the website secure, diagnose faults and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Legal basis for processing
For visitors in India, we process personal data under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — principally on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form for the stated purpose, and for legitimate uses such as responding to a request you initiated. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, our lawful bases under the GDPR are your consent, the steps necessary to enter into or perform a contract with you, our legitimate interest in running and securing our business, and compliance with legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who help us operate, and only as far as they need it:
- Supabase — the managed database that stores form submissions and website content.
- Our website hosting and CDN provider — serving the site and keeping request logs.
- Email and business productivity providers — handling the messages we exchange with you.
- Professional advisers and authorities — where we are legally required to disclose, or need to establish or defend a legal claim.
These providers may process data outside India, including in the United States and the European Union. Where that happens we rely on the provider's contractual data protection commitments, including standard contractual clauses where applicable.
How long we keep it
- Project enquiries that do not become engagements: up to 24 months, so we can pick up a conversation you restart.
- Client records: for the life of the engagement and afterwards for as long as tax, contractual and statutory record-keeping requires.
- Job applications: up to 12 months, so we can consider you for a later opening, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Server and security logs: a short rolling window set by our infrastructure providers.
How we protect it
Form submissions travel over HTTPS. The database that stores them is access-controlled, and only authorised DCPL staff can read enquiries and applications through our internal admin, which is protected by individual accounts. We apply the security headers and content restrictions expected of a modern site, and we keep our dependencies patched. No system is perfectly secure, but we take these responsibilities seriously and will notify you and the relevant authority where the law requires us to report an incident.
Your rights
Subject to the law that applies to you, you may ask us to:
- confirm what personal data of yours we hold, and give you a copy;
- correct data that is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
- erase data we no longer have a reason to keep;
- withdraw consent you previously gave, without affecting processing already carried out;
- restrict or object to a particular use of your data; and
- nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of death or incapacity, as provided under the DPDP Act.
Email hello@dcpltechnology.com and we will respond within the timeframe the applicable law sets. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India or, if you are in the EEA or UK, to your local supervisory authority.
Children
This website is aimed at businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to other sites
Our work, product and ventures pages link out to client sites, app stores and our group brands. Once you follow a link, the destination site's own privacy policy governs what happens there; we are not responsible for their practices.
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices or the law change. The revision date below always reflects the current version, and material changes will be highlighted on this page.
